Chevening is the UK government’s international awards programme aimed at developing global leaders.
Funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organizations, it offers two types of award – Chevening Scholarships and Chevening Fellowships – the recipients of which are personally selected by British embassies and High Commissions worldwide.

Chevening Scholarships are given to individuals with demonstrable leadership potential and have strong academic backgrounds with a strong vision for the future. The scholarship offers 100% financial support to study for any eligible master’s degree at any UK university whilst also giving access to a broad range of exclusive academic, professional, and cultural experiences.
What the Scholarship Covers
As Chevening Scholarships are 100% funded, the award you get includes the following:
- University Tuition fees
- A monthly stipend
- Travel costs to and from the UK
- An arrival allowance
- A homeward departure allowance
- The cost of one visa application
- A travel grant to attend Chevening events in the UK
